Death toll in Mexico's drug war surges

I wanted to know how the drug war is going to affect us and i founded this:"In Dallas, nearly two dozen high school students have died in the last two years from overdoses of a $2-a-hit Mexican fad drug." "In Laredo, Texas, a teenager who had been driving around the United States in a $70,000 luxury sedan confessed to becoming a Mexican cartel hit man when he was 13." This are just some of the things i found out about the Mexican drug war that affects us.

Corruption hurting Mexico's fight against crime, Calderon says I wanted to know how the mexican government is trying to stop corruption; purify Mexico.

Assignment #9

Trial delayed in human trafficking case

Marcia "Jazzy" Ryan is accused of trying to get two girls into prostitution. She faces the same charges as Leonard Russell, which is the man she was trying to help. Officials say this is the first case of human trafficking in IOWA.
Similarities
The "Attorney general wants fight against human trafficking" and "Trial delayed in human trafficking case" are similar because they are both talking about human trafficking. They both are trying to tell people that we need to stop that. They are also similar because they both have people trying to do human trafficking.
Differences
The are different because one story talks about human trafficking in El Paso and the other one is taking place in Iowa. One story specifictly tell us about a case and the other on is just mentioning how victims are confused with immigrants.

In his second term as President, he did what he could to oppose the Nazi Party's rise to power, but at last he had to sign this paper where it gave Hitler more power. • These pictures are so sad; such as the one that the man is on top of the girl. That remainds me of Lakshmi and the first sex experience and when she talks about the man telling and making her to do things she doesn't want to do. I got so upset when I saw the picture of the men in line waiting for their turn to have sex with girls. Thats so discusting, how can emn be so mean.

Assingment 3 Man vs society

There are a lot of problems in the story, but I think the main one is the money. Lakshmi's family is poor as many families in India thats why Lakshmi has to go work on the city. Thats when she gets involve in prostitution. I also think the stepfather is another problem in the story, because without him Lakshmi's family would have more food and Lakshmi wouldn't have to face prostitution.

  • Pg. 53 "He takes in...on her wrist."

  • Pg. 53 "One thousand rupees," he says.

  • Pg. 49 " If I go...sweater for you."

  • Pg. 48 " Your stepfather has...as a maid."

  • Pg. 41 " My stepfather...big-shoulders coat."
